Love, Spot n Traycee

Welcome! I want to take the time to talk a little bit about Spot and give you an idea of what this site is all about. This site has been created with much love. I hope we can connect and that you find valuable information to help you enjoy the time you have with the special kitty (or kitties!) in your life. I hope to add a section where you can submit questions ... coming soon! For now, please enjoy and I hope to see you again!

Spot was found in a shelter with his brother, Spike, in 2003, in Oceanside, CA. Full of spunk and all heart. He suffered through life with feline herpes, allergies, and finally IBD. He never ever wanted to stop fighting, living, and loving. When he was brought home from the shelter a little over a month old, he could barely take a breath in his little lungs because of his feline herpes. The vets said there was nothing to be done for him and to “make him comfortable” - see if he lives. I heard that over and over again throughout his little life when the vet could not fix him with their drugs. I had to learn the hard way through lots of research, and trial and error, how to help Spot fight. When I held his little kitty body in my hands when he suffered his first bought of feline herpes I learned through research that it was ok to give a kitty essential peppermint oil to help him breathe. And I’ve been researching ever since. He recently lost the ability to fight in December, 2015, due to severe IBD. During that dark time, I looked back at all the things I wish I would’ve known up front - and not have wasted so much time with confusing trial and error. We hope that you can learn from Spot and I … and our journey. From a holistic perspective, the whole cat body, mind, and spirit. Thank you for taking the time to read this and especially for looking for ways to give back to your kitty when I know they’ve given so much!

Me, I'm here to share what Spot wants the other kitties in the world to know about being healthy and living a long life!

Spot n Traycee's Holistic Tips

#13

Rotate your cat’s food regularly. It can take a day or two to transfer to new food.

#14

If considering a vegan diet, also consider feeding many small meals throughout the day. Recommend an auto-feeder if not home.

#15

Don't forget:  Water. Water. Water! If trying vegan cat food diet, do not feed a cat vegan dry food all day. They should have supplement of veggie food with lots of water added.
